What can I say about this other than TRY IT because it works! I've had stretch marks on my arms and stomach since high school and my pregnancies later. I never thought I would find anything to make them fade so there are certain articles of clothing I would not wear. While I don't have to worry about wrinkles quite yet, my skin tone was starting to become uneven and splotchy. I also tended to have dry patches on my skin. I couldn't find a moisturizer without all the junk and chemicals in it so I was happy when I got a chance to review this product. When I first opened it, I was happy to read the ingredients because it contained so many natural and organic products.

This is one product I don't think I will go too long without. It is so versatile and effective, it is a must have for every beauty drawer. When I first opened this book, I thought to myself "here we go again with the diet thing." It was not what I was looking for. However, since I agreed to review the book in exchange for the book, I decided to give it a fair trial. So my children and I went shopping for fruits and vegetables specific to the recipes. That was the first checkmark for me; I usually buy random fruits and vegetables to make a smoothie and spend so much money on a lot of it goes to waste. So having the recipes was already saving us money. Plus, a lot of the recipes use some of the same ingredients so that was also a plus.

I must say, these smoothies are delicious! I use to make random smoothies before and they were hit or miss with my children. These recipes actually have my children asking me to make them smoothies, and they know there are fruits and vegetables in them. My children would especially ask for the spinach and apple smoothie. 

They are also pretty filling so I wasn't constantly hungry feeling like I was starving myself to death. I also realized that I wasn't craving sweets as much as before. I was super excited to try this screen with being unable to open our doors because of all the flies and bugs in the area. Upon receipt of the screen, I asked my husband to install it for me as he was also looking forward to being able to keeping the door open without all the pests. Per my husband, the screen was really easy to install, though it was a bit long. 

That was probably my only issue with this screen; the length. Since you couldn't cut it without destroying the magnet, we just had to deal with the length. One of the first things I noticed with this was the consistency. It wasn't as creamy as I thought it would be which could be a good thing. I expected it to be thick and sticky and it was neither. I will ashamedly admit that I am horrible with metrics; I hate it. So if there is something needed in a recipe that was in grams, I would always get my computer and convert it in Google. This scale gave me so much more freedom to bake/cook freely without interruptions. What's more, I could have my mise en place done in totality.

Another great feature about this scale is the tare feature; In preparing the mise en place, I could put the measuring cup or spoon on the scale and then zero it again so it doesn't take the measurement of the utensil when I add the ingredient. That way you know you are getting a correct reading.

Another area I normally have issues with that this has remedied mostly, is online postage and pickup. I would be guessing how much the package weighed or using a bathroom scale that would constantly change. Often, I would have to wait until it was convenient to try and make it to the post office before I would get anything sent off, hence why not much of anything got sent. This scale has saved me so much worry and time by allowing me to do smaller packages with correct weight so I can make a drop if I'll be on the road or have the mail person pick up at home.

I tend to have very dry hair if I don't add some form of moisture daily to my hair. I was excited to try this garlic press because I tend to buy garlic in bulk and it gets tedious chopping that much garlic. When I first applied for this I wondered if I could really use it for as much as I thought because I thought it might have been a cheap press. Upon receipt of the press, I was surprised that the package was much heavier than I expected it to be. So I was pleasantly surprised and that was a great start!

 

At first use, I tried it to see if I could crush the garlic without peeling the garlic. I was pleased that it peeled the garlic and still pressed it through. However, it was also was a little bit hard to clean the skin from the receptacle. Still beats peeling pounds of garlic though. The next thing I tried was peeling some of the cloves before using the press. It was somewhat easier to press through without the skin, but it still left a thin film in the receptacle.

 

If you dislike peeling garlic, then the press will work wonderfully for you. If you are doing small amounts of garlic, as in only pressing garlic at the time you need it, and not storing garlic as I do, then this is perfect for you.

 

The video had said that you need both hands to press the garlic so I was expecting to have to press really hard. I ended up using just one hand to press the garlic though there was some effort required. All in all, I love this press and have used it multiple times already since receiving it. My only request for this press is that the receptacle be made bigger, or at least offer different sizes.

I have gone between extremely oily skin to extremely dry skin, especially as the weather changes. I was so frustrated with my skin and the back and forth since my pregnancies. I was looking and searching for something, anything that would shrink my pores and even out my skin without the chemicals. When I received it, I washed my face and tried it immediately and it burned a little so I was hesitant to use it again. But I realized that you need to add a moisturizer after using it. So the following day, I repeated the process but added the moisturizer after. It was much better though it still burned slightly, barely noticeable. I waited for a reaction but it never came so I continued to use it. After about a week of using it, my pores were visibly shrinking, my skin was tighter (firmer) and just looked overall healthier. Yes, I said a week! After almost 30 days, my skin looks and feels much healthier and I will make this a regular part of my skin care regiment.

Like a lot of other women, I wanted to lose some weight. I had already been thinking about switching to being vegan so when I got the opportunity to review this book, I was excited. I first skimmed the book and picked out which recipes I would like to try first and which ones I would probably not try at all (picky eater alert!).

Each time before that I had tried to cut out meat, I find myself going back to it because there wasn't much I could find, in texture and taste, to satisfy me. The recipes in this book though, were easy to follow and made substituting meats very easy. While I only got to do it this time for a week, I will definitely be doing it for a longer period of time until I am able to switch permanently!

I love how Jonathan Vine broke down the different types of vegans/vegetarian lifestyles without making it seem intimidating or overly strict. There are also recipes that allow for adjustments per lifestyle chosen. This book is such a great resource for beginners and those who have been in the lifestyle for a while. Even my children loved some of the recipes and would ask for seconds. So kudos to Mr. Vine because my children rarely ask for seconds on anything with vegetables.

So what did I think of this book?

Honestly, at first I would say "this is some of the dumbest things I've ever read in my life. How could this possibly change the way I react?" But as I read the different sections, that was one of the excuses given as to why one may not succeed; we get in our own way. So I decided to put aside how I felt and try it for the sake of my children, first and foremost and then myself.

I really wanted to stop yelling so I decided to give it a try. I must say that even upon the first attempt upon implementing some of the methods given in the book, I noticed the difference; even if only because I felt too silly to be angry. I decided to try it for an entire week before even attempting to begin a review so I could give a fair assessment.

I must say that aside from the "prayer" in the book, I have been pleasantly surprised that these methods actually work. My children come talk to me freely with no fear of mommy being upset now.

So, thank you a million times!! If you are like the person I was that got easily annoyed and took out my frustrations on my children or blew up, please, I implore you to try this book for your own and your children's sake. Pick up your copy here .

DSpeed Fast Melt Vitamin D3 Review

So it's summer and we all would love for our children to go out in the yard and go play and catch bugs, or play in the dirt etc. Unfortunately, with all going on in our lives, we haven't been able to really get the children outside as much as we would like. My youngest is also still nursing and has severely bowed legs from birth. I don't like artificial supplements so I normally try to eat so he gets the required daily dosage from breastmilk. However, I saw an opportunity to review this product and jumped on it to see if it would help so my baby wouldn't have to take vitamin D drops. I will continue to take them (and update this post at that time) until the bottle is empty and see if my son's legs straighten up. I was worried about the taste of these though, I must admit.

I was pleasantly surprised at the taste of these. I thought they would have been chalky and would have no peach flavour. I was so hesitant to taste it thinking I would have to suffer through a tablet that takes forever to dissolve, that tastes horrid. It actually tastes pretty good and dissolved really quickly. This is definitely a product I will keep purchasing for myself!

Abigail and The Jungle Adventure Review

When I first got the chance to review this book, I was excited because my children (my daughter especially) loves new books and loves being read to. Once I downloaded the book via Amazon, and she saw the cover, she would constantly ask for me to read the book to her. Now, if the cover of the book can lure her in that much, that's a win in my book.

So we start reading and the illustrations in the book has her enthralled. She is actively listening and pointing (interacting). I was actually impressed because as much as she likes being read to, there aren't many books that can hold her attention long enough through to the end. So again, kudos to the illustrator!

Now, on to the story. The story itself for me, was a little scattered and short; it just felt like little pieces were missing in between. However, my daughter thoroughly enjoyed it and was asking questions about other people (cultures) and animals so another win in my book. I liked how the author introduced the animals in a fun way but wish they had chosen more exotic animals or animals native to where they were representing in the story (the Amazon).

Overall, I thought it was a good book for children and I applaud the intention of the author, ie., introducing different cultures and animals. Great illustrations to accompany a good children's story.

Australian Tea Tree Oil with Free Recipe Guide

I received a 4Fl. Oz. bottle via Tomoson for review and I am so happy I did. I received the oil and upon opening the box, you can smell the purity of the oil. It doesn't smell diluted like some other oils I've come across so I was excited to test and compare it to the others.

To begin with, I use TTO every night to clean my floors and counters and they usually feel slick and slippery. With the Apothecary Extracts oil, I was pleasantly surprised that I could walk freely without fear of slipping. Even the counters felt clean and dry without the streaks.

I am going to use the oil following some of the recipes given in the free guide. I am excited to try the handsoap recipe and to remove acne. I will update with results as soon as I receive them.
