Haunted: Ten Tales of Ghosts Review

Once again, Rayne Hall has a compilation of tremendous stories. Having dealt with ghosts myself from a youngin unto today, it was interesting to see the different takes the authors would have on their own ghosts. One thing I did realize though is that, like the other books, some of the stories ended abruptly and left you wondering what happened?

For example, "The Explanation for Ghosts," ended without explaining what happened to the men. I went back and forward looking to make sure that the story had really ended. I was perplexed, and kept wondering "so what happened?"

On the other hand, I loved most of the other stories. Rayne Hall's "Take me to St. Roch's" was one of my favourites as the visuals you develop while reading are both disturbing and even made me chuckle. My husband must thought me crazy when I started chuckling while picturing the graveyard scene and the ghost kicking the main Jean.

Another story I loved was Morris' "A Puddle Of Dead." This story is very realistic and something a lot of people deal with daily. It made it that much easier to empathize with the main character and I was so happy for her when she got her closure.

This is a great read. Pick up a copy on Amazon here and enjoy the spooktacular thrills. Better yet, wait until Halloween ;)

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
