I was excited to try this garlic press because I tend to buy garlic in bulk and it gets tedious chopping that much garlic. When I first applied for this I wondered if I could really use it for as much as I thought because I thought it might have been a cheap press. Upon receipt of the press, I was surprised that the package was much heavier than I expected it to be. So I was pleasantly surprised and that was a great start!

At first use, I tried it to see if I could crush the garlic without peeling the garlic. I was pleased that it peeled the garlic and still pressed it through. However, it was also was a little bit hard to clean the skin from the receptacle. Still beats peeling pounds of garlic though. The next thing I tried was peeling some of the cloves before using the press. It was somewhat easier to press through without the skin, but it still left a thin film in the receptacle.

If you dislike peeling garlic, then the press will work wonderfully for you. If you are doing small amounts of garlic, as in only pressing garlic at the time you need it, and not storing garlic as I do, then this is perfect for you.

The video had said that you need both hands to press the garlic so I was expecting to have to press really hard. I ended up using just one hand to press the garlic though there was some effort required. All in all, I love this press and have used it multiple times already since receiving it. My only request for this press is that the receptacle be made bigger, or at least offer different sizes.
